Hello!

Are you missing those mountains as the hectic summer schedule gets into full swing?
Here at Pro Guiding we were busy doing some spring cleaning, and thought it was time to reconnect with those of you who have taken one of our mountaineering courses.  There are some cool opportunities coming up, and we want you guys to know!

First off, many of you may be backcountry skiers or know a backcountry skier.  Yet, do you know how much a summer mountaineering course can do for your backcountry ski knowledge? It is a great opportunity to put the skis away for the summer, but not the lifestyle.

On that note, we want to share with you that we now have two new mountaineering courses!  They are similar to our North Cascades Mountaineering Course and our Mount Baker Mountaineering School and Summit Climb, but they are shortened.  Maybe you took one of our courses five years ago and are feeling a little foggy on some of the basics?  Our 3-Day North Cascades Mountaineering Course or our 3-Day Mount Baker School and Summit Climb is the ticket.  It’s the opportunity to refresh your memory without the time and financial commitment.

It is also great to share with those backcountry skiers complaining about the melting snow.  We are lucky up here in Washington—glaciers aren’t seasonal.  Although we will not be on skis, it is a place to learn or relearn crevasse rescue, rope skills, and glacier travel—all necessary for true ski mountaineering.

Whether you want a refresher or you think a friend may be interested, we want you as a Pro Guiding Client to get new and upcoming info about our courses.

We hope your summer is filled with adventure!

“Few places in this world are more dangerous than home. Fear not, therefore, to try the mountain passes. They will kill care, save you from deadly apathy, set you free, and call forth every faculty into vigorous, enthusiastic action.”
